Review on ☕️ Fino Pour Over Coffee Kettle Review: Your Ultimate 4 1/4 Cup Silver Brewer by Michael Hellewell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best kettle for the price.

I'm new to loose tea brewing and a quality teapot with good brewing control is a must. My old roommate had a Hario V60 Buono, 1.2L kettle but he took it with him when he left so I had to look for a replacement. I chose Fino and compare it to my experience with Hario V60. Aesthetics: Fino - Looks good, but shiny stainless steel is hard to keep clean. Hario - I definitely like the look of this teapot. I like the shape and the matte finish, but that's just personal preference. Construction: Fino - very durable. Heavy weight, the lid fits well, the handle feels great, very high quality Japanese craftsmanship. Hario - seems lighter than Fino but still very well built. Also Japanese quality. I feel like a tie. Design: Fino has a wider base than Hario, allowing it to handle higher flames and heat up faster. it is audible but also tends to drop off when the pouring angle is steep. Grips/Ergonomics: Fino-curved hard black plastic grip stays cool. Hario - The black plastic is more textured, which I like, but one issue I had with this kettle was that the handle heated up to a point where it was painful to touch even if the flame was on was a bit too high. I didn't have this problem with Fino. Filling speed: Fino: stable, constant, works a little slower than Hario. Hario: Great filling, slight advantage over Fino. Both have their pros and cons and I prefer the Hario V60 a bit for its look and feel. If both were offered to me for free, I'd go with the Hario, but they're so similar that I don't think the $10 higher price point over the Fino justifies it. In my opinion this is the best kettle for the price, hence the five stars. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new kettle.
