Review on 🔌 D-Link DGS-1024D Ethernet Switch - 24 Port Gigabit Unmanaged Fanless Network Hub, Desktop or Rack Mountable, Black by John Love

I installed 3 of these switches in a small business environment with about 60 connections and they work great. Excellent throughput for this size and very reliable. I've had 3 of these in different versions over the last 5 years and they are little workhorses. For an unmanaged switch, it gets the job done. I would also recommend them to others. They retired a bunch of unmanaged but reliable 3com 10/100 switches whose fans failed. I have experience with managed and unmanaged switches from many brands, Nortel, Cisco, 3com, Baynetworks, Netgear, Linksys etc and Gigabyte switches have come a long way. The only downside was interacting with the Dlink parts department for an order. two rack ears lost in satellite office. They don't accept credit cards over the phone so you have to send a check. Replacement ears are $20 including shipping. I had to send a check twice after they or the post office lost the letter. I later found out that the person who had given me the correct information left the company after I called back 3 weeks later to find out where the package was. It's ridiculous that they can't take CC over the phone and apparently the wait was over a month after everything was done for a set of replacement mounting ears. That's the only reason I deducted a star.
