These are great bowels & plates - they have Great style and design. We love the colors and the way they stack compactly. They are pretty heavy duty and very durable. The bowels are shallow and wide with steep sides - easy to eat pasta, soup and salad out of. The plates are flat with a shallow rise around the rim - helps keep food from sliding off the plate. They are easy to stack. They do not scratch with metal utensils and wash great in the dishwasher. They are also microwave safe which is a big plus.
