I bought this set of lock cylinders because other reviewers have stated that they are the same cylinders sold under the Thule brand . Upon receipt I compared them to the cylinders on my existing Thule stand and found them to be true. I'm sure they are all from the same manufacturer. I ordered 2 packs which oddly contained 4 keys. 2 keys each I believe. It took seconds to install on my Thule kayak rack without using a dummy key. Simply insert a regular key, align the tab and press - DONE! I can only conclude that other reviewers who have had issues with this must have done something wrong. The locks work great and I don't expect any problems with them. So save money and buy Rocky Mounts for all your Thule luggage rack needs. You will not be disappointed.
