Good straight edges and square corners. I wanted something heavy, not the typical plastic drawing tools. It's fine for some things, but I'm happy to have a heavier tool that lays flat and stays where I put it, and doesn't easily slide across my paper. I find the markings easy to read, I don't need reading glasses to see the markings. I will never use it as a framing square for construction, so the fact that the markings can wear away in such conditions (as another reviewer pointed out) is not a factor for me. 3 or 4 drills along the inside of the long edge (L). By that I mean the black paint has worn off and is sharp there like it has been cut through the metal and looks like there is some rust there. That is, if I have to draw a line along this inside edge with a pencil, I get "highlights” on it. This also means that I can scratch or cut my fingers when touching them. I need to trade it, but I'm already behind the project and I just have to keep going. I might request a new one, but for now I'm just using this one. I wonder if the new one will have the same "features" and then I'm stuck with the hassle of repackaging and sending one back (where I live I have to drive for a while to pick up packages). Anyway, I can ask the company if I can count on a "perfect" replacement, and if so, do it, otherwise I'll use that one. With that exception, it's a good tool for my use, but these drill bits need treatment.
