Review on microSHIFT 3X7 Speed Black Twist Grip Shift Gear Shifters - Shimano Bicycle Compatible by Larry Allen

Purchased to replace the left derailleur on my 10 year old daughter's bike. It was a cheap Shimano Revoshift friction type that made it almost impossible to work with due to the torque required to shift. Despite the reviews for this product, it's not much easier to operate, if at all (at least for the left - we haven't tried the right). The GOOD news is that this is actually a better product than Revoshift. Apparently, with a small twist of the tension adjustment we were able to get the indexed shifting to work accurately for all three chainrings, and the indexed shift points are definitely improved by "cranking until the chain starts to move". "So if you are looking to replace your broken Revoshift shifter this is a great and cheap alternative. If you are looking for an easier to use upgrade then look elsewhere (probably thumb shifters) which may offer at least some mechanical advantage)
