The magnets are really strong so they stay on the fridge and catch the lids well. I've had no problems with it loosening or moving when opening bottles and it catches plenty of bottle caps before you have to clean them. I've never had him drop the cap after opening a bottle and I've actually thrown bottle caps at him when opening a bottle with a manual opener and he also easily catches the caps with a magnet. The only downside is that the bottle opener itself isn't amazing, but is fine for everyday use; The angle is slightly offset so you just have to make sure you insert the bottle and support it at the right angle. However, the bottle opener itself attaches with screws so you can swap out as you please and simply keep the excellent magnetic mount for use with any wall mounted bottle opener. The face measures 5" x 10" and the tongue at the bottom extends about 1/2" further.
