I really liked the snake. I tried several things when trying to unclog my kitchen sink. Gels, liquids, forced liquids, crystals, you name it. I've spent a fortune. I was about to call the plumber when I saw this and decided to try the last one myself. I bought the version that allows you to plug in an electric drill because I figured I would need extra power to clear the clog in my sink. I read a few reviews before ordering and am very glad I did. If you're using this, as some people have pointed out, the cable isn't permanently attached to the device. It will come out if you pull hard enough. Bypass this to ensure it doesn't exit. DON'T PULL THE DAMN THING SO HARD THAT THEY GO OUT! I had to use every inch of the 25 foot cable to get to my blockage and also had to repeat it 3 times before clearing it. But the main thing is not to pull on the thing like a bull. Once you feel resistance putting the line down the tube and realize you've put a lot of line in, stop! Trust me, this is how it works. As I said, I had to repeat this 3 times before the clog cleared, so don't be discouraged if you don't get it right the first time. Pull it out and repeat again. It all depends on how and where the line is clogged, so try again if necessary. It's a lot cheaper than calling a professional plumber. When you're done, be sure to clean it thoroughly. I've seen a lot of comments about these things rusting if you don't. I will be using WD-40 on mine to give it a good coat before storing it. I hope I've covered all the points I noticed while using it. Much luck.
