Review on 📼 UCEC USB 2.0 Video Capture Card Device - VHS VCR TV to DVD Converter for Mac OS X PC Windows 7 8 10 by Randy Montiel

Used the product with a Canon Hi8 camera and a Macbook Pro. The adapter doesn't communicate with my new MacBook Pro (which only comes with USB-C ports), but I think Apple should take the blame for that. Worked well with my previous generation MacBook Pro running from a regular USB port and playing/recording in Quicktime. A note: Canon didn't like using the component video jack (yellow), but the S-Video cable worked fine. If you hear a hum in the audio, it means your tapes are mono and not stereo. Disconnecting the red audio cable solved this problem.
