Review on Dorman 970-076 ABS Sensor With Harness: Enhanced Performance for Ford/Mercury Vehicles by Ashutosh Takumatla

I had to replace this ABS sensor after the tone ring broke 1000 miles after the factory warranty expired and ruined the original sensor. The sensor has stood 20,000 km and there are no problems with it. I am thankful for Dorman products as they usually outperform the OEM parts I repair. I can recommend this product. Well it's 18 months later and this sensor has FAILED. It looks like the tonal ring made contact with the surface of the sensor and rolled the plastic onto the sensor bars. I think it could have been cleaned with a flat file but the brass ring broke when I took it out. I can no longer recommend this product. This time I changed it to the default brand. Time will tell if the disturbance is due to Dorman's measurement or something else.
