These filters far outperform the Fette filters we have received and are much cheaper. We have a humidifier that runs 24 hours in the bedroom. After about a week, the fat filters were clogged with iron deposits that we have in our water. Using Iron Out or a similar cleanser brought her back to minimal efficiency for a few more days. Holmes filters last at least twice as long and Fette filters absorb more iron before their performance deteriorates. Treating them with Iron Out will return them to near new efficiency for a few more weeks. And they can be treated a second time with the same results. Highly recommended.
