Company brand, absolutely poor quality.

I paid $7 each for 5 pieces to last through the winter. They work but are of very poor quality as they only last 1-1 1/2 weeks. Then they dry out and stop absorbing water, making them unusable. I use good quality water, a bacteriostatic supplement and never run out of water in the humidifier. Despite being a brand these filters stink and I will never buy them again, waste of money. I think it's intentional.

Cadillac Humidifier Filter

I just can't say enough about these humidifier filters. The plastic case holds its shape for a long time after hard water has crusted it past the saturation point. They did a great job of cushioning the small closet I keep my guitars in - no refills needed for almost three weeks at a time. Not so good in a large bedroom where the humidifier tank (the weak link of the device) needs to be refilled daily. Abandoned Cool Mist humidifiers clogged up like hell with hard water. Not like those Holmes…

good but expensive

Pros: Works great with the Holmes humidifier model HM1865 I have at home. In fact, it's probably of better quality than the original filter that came with my car. . .cons: WAY overpriced. If I could make it again I would buy it from the Holmes website where it's half price even with shipping! Don't let the whole "PDQ-U" letter scheme confuse you. . . it's like a part number. It is marked on the packaging as the HWF65-C filter which they also sell on the Holmes website. 5 stars for quality. 1…

Durable, easy to clean

These filters far outperform the Fette filters we have received and are much cheaper. We have a humidifier that runs 24 hours in the bedroom. After about a week, the fat filters were clogged with iron deposits that we have in our water. Using Iron Out or a similar cleanser brought her back to minimal efficiency for a few more days. Holmes filters last at least twice as long and Fette filters absorb more iron before their performance deteriorates. Treating them with Iron Out will return them to…

Works well but expensive

On Holmes' website they are half the price. Luckily someone else pointed this out earlier. So in terms of value, I don't see how anyone can give this a 5 star rating. We sell 2 of these each winter and they used to sell 2 packs (for $20). So keep that in mind when ordering. One probably won't be enough. We use ours every night from around November to March. It would be nice if they lasted a little longer. Oh, I should mention that we have a whole house water filtration/softening system. I would

Old and fragile filters

Although Holmes brand filters are usually of good quality, these filters that I have received are terrible. I ordered 3 and 2 of them are so old and brittle that with a little pressure they just snapped to straighten them to fit my humidifier. I've never had a Holmes filter with me. They are usually top notch. I dare not turn them in a circle. They need to fit squarely in the round area of my humidifier. It's too late to go back, I have to take care of the trouble of deploying them without…

Precision Replacement Filters for Holmes Humidifier

I ordered a pair of these filters to replace worn out old filters on Holmes humidifiers. They are no longer available from Target as their stores have run out of stock. I used to buy them there for $9.99, now they cost $14.99. Luckily, Revain lowered the prices on my last order, but that's still more than Target's prices. I would assume Holmes upped the price for them, but they are identical to store bought filters. I don't change them every year, but every two years, and every spring I just…

Ditch that filter, or better yet, the cool mist evaporative humidifier

This brand new filter had the filter status indicator on the humidifier about halfway down, just above the service mark had to .spare. The humidifier just didn't humidify very well with this new filter. It hasn't even been 2 months of limited use and the sensor is all down and not wetting anymore. The filter still looks like new, but doesn't absorb any water at all. The quality is definitely not what it used to be and that's probably why this type of humidifier isn't very popular anymore.
