The best pan set ever!

These pans have exceeded my expectations. The pans are heavy and non-stick coated. The handles stay cold while cooking. I had previously purchased a set of Granitestone cookware and was so impressed with how it worked and how easy it was to clean that I decided to try the Pro Pan Set. These pans are superior to the original pans, and the originals ended up in an RV. Much heavier, with better handles and the same great non-stick coating. I've bought some very expensive Pampered Chef, SS pans with a hexagonal non-stick coating and it's an amazing pan. It also cost me $180.00. These pans cost a third and work just as well. There's no doubt that polycarbonate pans last longer, but you can't beat the price and value of granite stone. One thing to note is that you cannot use scotchbrite pads or any other type of abrasive pad on anything other than these pans or other nonstick pans. Running water washes almost everything out of the pan. Also, don't use non-stick sprays. Sprays leave a sticky residue that will eventually render the pan unusable. I use an oil with a high smoke point like peanut oil or vegetable oil in a handheld sprayer. You can use one of the pump sprayers but I found the manual sprayer easier to use as there is no overspray. Okay, now I have to refute other reviewers' claims that the pans aren't non-stick or their pans didn't burn while cooking. I don't really know how people's idea of what a nonstick coating is is evolving. When you cook food in a pan, some food will spill off the sides or bottom and stick to the pan. This will happen in all pots. How the pan is cleaned is "non-stick meets pan" to use the phrase! Sure, you can use lots of oil, but that's not what you bought these pans for. You can use a small amount of oil to improve the cooking and flavor of your food. Why do you think if you try to cook at home what you ate at a restaurant it will never taste as good? These pans are way better than Copper Chef or other smooth surface pans. I didn't think it was like that.

Pros
  • SUPER STRENGTH - The pan coating is strong enough to withstand metal spatulas, spoons, whisks and more, while the aluminum body is dense, non-porous and highly wear-resistant for long service life.
Cons
  • Durable
