The Dorman flush valve works as expected and on the Acadia it is located front and center under the shroud making it easy to replace. However, I have had my Acadia for 4 years now and have replaced the flush valve 4 times, each time with a Dorman. Its failure is so regular that I know that when it does, I'll have to replace the wiper blades and rearrange the tires. Yes, yes, I've followed online prevention advice like "don't fill the tank after the handle clicks". ' but because of that part I still get CEL once a year. I assumed it was the engine design. I read online that it might be Dorman and that I should try the OEM valve. Maybe I'll give her an extra $25 next year and see if that makes a difference.
