Worked beautifully on my 2005 BMW 330ci. This job was HELL! The starter is mounted on top of the gearbox behind the engine and under the rear bulkhead. It was so deep and hidden that I couldn't see or reach it - I had to disassemble half the car to get to 2 screws and turn them. with a 3/8 ratchet for several hours. It didn't help that this starter is about 2x longer than the OEM starter when space is limited. Finally after 2 days the starter is fine and works great. I saved $800 by making it myself but lost skin, patience and 2 days of my life.
