The grinding mechanism seems to be too small so the peppercorns either don't fall in properly or get stuck. I find myself banging the countertop several times to make the pepper fall out of the mechanism (for example, to put the pepper on a piece of fish, a steak, or half a glass of limas). This becomes extremely problematic if you need the pepper at an urgent time, such as when cooking. I totally agree with the reviewer who said this would make a great gift for someone you hate (or are trying to fool). I've had this meat grinder for a few years now and I've tried really hard to like it. I love OHO products. Based on the brand and the reviews, I figured there must be some sort of learning curve that maybe I just didn't understand. After more than two years I'm pretty sure I was wrong in that assumption and it's just bullshit. If you don't mind banging on it all the time, or not using pepper when cooking, or if you don't mind your table guests banging it against the side of your dining table (let's say you want to give your table a distressed look). ), this is the grinder for you.
