Review on Mishimoto MMCLAMP 35 Stainless Steel T Bolt by George Saunier

NOT stainless steel! Attracts ceramic magnets.

The first rule of racing is never to assume anything. The most important rule in life is a warning not to buy. As a buyer, installer and user of Misihmoto products for decades, my first reaction was disappointment followed by anger. The white object in the photos is a ceramic magnet from an old IBM hard drive. Ceramic magnets are the unmistakable and repeatable standard for sorting real stainless steel (ASTM 316) from fakes like 303 or 304. Photo #2 shows the magnet suspended inside the clamp body. In Photo #3, the magnet is attached to the lock nut. The black object is the kevlar reinforced OD of the 2" charge air fitting. I got this shit back. Revain bought and then tested four standard stainless steel T-bolt clamps. Two examples of many stainless steel clamps HPS, ASTM 316. deserve your attention: 316- SSC-44-51: ID 44-51 mm / 1.73-2.00" (SAE size 28). ID 51-59 mm / 2.0-2.32" (SAE size 36). "Everything in all, Mishimoto has now become what they feared. MM has become too successful and lost its core values of quality and customer focus. Today, MM is just a fat and greedy company with only fame and a fast That's a damn shame. MM has lost my trust of years.Starting with MM Radiator Caps I now have to test every damn Misihmoto "SS" item on my cars.Next I will deal with Intercoolers and Radiators. No joy here.I can't wait to read hypocrisy to them.
