I bought this fiberglass fabric to use for glass casting in a furnace as it is part of the shape consolidation process. After laying a few layers of molding material on top of my clay model, I soaked the cut pieces in this fiberglass cloth and laid them on top of the model for extra strength. The mold has been pre-fired and is now in the final firing stage, securely holding approximately 18 pounds of glass. I will be buying more of this fabric to use in future mold making as it can withstand temperatures of at least 1470 degrees.
