I bought this remote control to use with my Vizio M3D550SR TV. I thought it would be the same as my original Vizio remote but without the slide out keyboard and Bluetooth connectivity. I agreed. What I didn't realize was that it couldn't be programmed to work with a cable box like my original remote did. There is no additional power button next to the Enter key. I bought it thinking it might be a remote control for my tv and cable box but it only works with the tv. I deduct a star for that. I shoot the second because of the battery compartment. It's very tight. I had to try 3 different alkaline batteries before I found one that fit the compartment. Even after putting the batteries in I thought the remote was dead. It doesn't work. I took out the batteries and checked them. You were good. I removed and replaced them 3 times before I finally saw life in the remote control. Those two things aside, the remote feels good in the hand, the buttons have a solid click, and it's reasonably priced. The face is much more reflective than the original. The markings on the keys are also much whiter. To be honest, despite the VIZIO sticker, I'm not 100% sure that this is a genuine, manufactured Vizio remote and not a fake, but for $7 it's not worth the return shipping fee. I just leave it as an extra remote for smart functions and turning the TV on and off.
