Review on πŸ”₯ Enhance Your Jeep Cherokee XJ's Cooling Performance with Griffin Radiator 5-591LB-FAX Aluminum Radiator by Kyle Ross

Okay but don't break the factory transmission lines

I thought the other reviewer was lying when they said the transmission lines don't make a connection. The transmission cooler has a small internal thread 1/4 NPT (flow restriction hole), factory thread 5/8 (nearly exact) with reverse flair. The only way is to hack the factory lines and terminals. Too much work. Physically it fits into the factory, but instead of two hours of work it's more like two days. I'm sending mine back. Very disappointed with Griffin's R&D department. It would be much easier for them to drill big holes in the heatsinks and people could easily adapt. Heading to Carquest where I can buy 3 original quality radiators for the price of this Griffin with a flimsy warranty anyway. Very disappointed. It's great if you're going to be plugging in new trance lines anyways I guess but didn't see the point. In the Cherokee, the end result of the transmission is best for the stock configuration, IMO, regardless of the engine/transmission combination and associated installation. Good luck cracking the one below. Damn Griffin just welded a 90 degree quick release bracket to the bottom. Let the builders light the hose! I really wanted to use American stuff but I think they need to analyze this product a little better. So a Chinese OEM copy! Damn!

Pros
  • Transmission cooler
Cons
  • No automatic
