I got this for my Pug and decided to use an additional receiver for my German Shepherd. After seeing 100 levels of stimulation I was hoping to use this for low level stimulation and the lowest levels are too high. My understanding is that a person shouldn't be able to feel the lowest levels of low level stimulation and I can even feel level 1 - it doesn't hurt but I can still feel it. Now, as a correction tool, these collars work. Spring. My German Shepherd is very sensitive so I don't use that on her - I use a spiked collar which works pretty well. But since my pug can't wear a spiked collar, it works wonders. My pug needed some time to get used to the collar, but now he responds correctly and reliably to beeps, buzzes and electrical stimulation. The noise frightens her a little, but she hardly reacts to jolts or noises. She just stops doing what she was doing when I hit the button and comes back to me what I want! This collar has really helped me to curb my pug's reactivity. It got really bad and this collar is helping her get out of it. I was hoping to use the collar for more advanced training as well, but since it doesn't offer low-level stimulation, I decided to stick with my pug treat training, which works pretty well anyway. My main reason for doing this was to solve the reactivity problem and I was able to do it to make it serve its purpose. Now a word of caution, be sure to try how to use it before you buy it, and do some research on behavioral dog training in general. You don't want to hurt or injure your dog with this, and this collar requires a lot of work just like any other training tool or method, so keep that in mind. I think my pug is on level 3 or 4 which is good enough to prevent flares and it also rips them out of them if I'm not fast enough to catch them before they explode. Not a big problem at the moment as she is working out of this habit with this collar. I was able to request and receive this collar from Revane Vine for free. If I had to spend my own money I might look further as I need a collar that can provide low level stimulation but for those who want a reliable collar that can provide consistent and widely adjustable corrections this one will option work very well.
