Nice practical book

Beautiful book with patterns for towels. While it lacks the sophistication of Victorian Lace Today and A Gathering of Lace for intricate lace patterns made from lightweight lace yarn, it is a collection of simple, purposeful patterns made from basic worsted yarn. Intermediate knitting beginners to start learning net stitches and their effects. Additionally, patterns immediately provide eye-catching fabrics that serve a useful purpose. While I didn't really like Ruanna's style, he "dressed up" slightly with the stitching design and Robozo color scheme in the same section. The Japanese kimono shawl is a very pretty leaf stitch that makes for a beautiful wrap and allows the beginner to knit patterns, to get lots of practice. without being overwhelmed by the number of non-repeating rows in a design or the variety of patterns in a combined design. The Aran handkerchief is very chic and will be easy to learn for beginner knitters. The photographs are very nice and although the atmosphere of the background is not as impressive as in the books mentioned above, the patterns themselves are well illustrated.
