Hardware needs improvement

I have a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder and I have installed the sticky hardware to my car and secured the mesh - once I have applied enough pressure to the mesh I pull it through the car, to ensure the other hardware that he cuts. The mesh is fine, very useful, but the sticky hardware sucks. They don't take long to pop out and I'm curious what they do when there's something heavy in the net or when I'm parking on an incline, whether they actually keep my stuff in my trunk instead of popping out. out.
