I was speechless when I enabled the 240Hz feature on this monitor. how wow I didn't know my previous 60Hz monitor was that bad until I bought this one. And I call myself a gamer! If you are a gamer, this refresh rate is a must. Not negotiable. I was really blown away by how smooth the display is on this thing. In fact, I found myself playing with opening and closing chrome to be buttery smooth over and over again. In the game, however, it really changes the game rules. I tested this monitor with Rocket League at 60Hz and full 240Hz. And what a difference! It's really obvious in a game like this because it's very dynamic. All I can say is that the movement of everything was so enjoyable! I even made my husband jealous because his monitor only works up to 60 Hz and he also plays. Now he wants it too! I have to say, be sure to set up your PC. For context, my GPU is a Sapphire Nitro+ AMD Radeon RX580. My processor is Intel Core i3 12100f. The rest isn't really important to what I'm talking about here. I thought it was time to upgrade my GPU because my current setup doesn't make much sense right now (a powerful new CPU paired with an old graphics card), but now it's even more obvious. My poor graphics card hates this new monitor. I noticed how hot my computer got when I put my hand on it and when I checked the temperature I was right. My GPU was idling around 55 degrees Celsius. I have done absolutely nothing except run this ad. Not good. Luckily I have fans underneath so I turned them all the way on to keep my GPU running moderately cool. I'm not 100% satisfied with the thermals, but that's okay. Just consider what hardware you have before you buy this monitor. Or of course, if you have something more powerful than me, don't worry. That being said, I highly recommend this monitor. The display is gorgeous and the refresh rate even more so. If you're a gamer, do yourself a favor and stop playing only at 60Hz; pamper yourself! :)
