Review on SANSUI ES-27G2 - 27" Adaptive Computer Speakers with 1920X1080P Resolution, 240Hz Refresh Rate, Glossy Screen, Adaptive Sync, Wall Mountable, and Height Adjustment by Dave Sharma

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good budget monitor.

At $179 at the time of writing, I really wasn't expecting much from Sansui's 27-inch 240Hz gaming monitor. But I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the brightness of the display, vivid colors, sleek design, lack of backlight blur, and fast refresh rate. If you're looking for a competent display that will keep you under the $200 budget threshold, this is a worthy contender for you. This monitor has a variety of input options including USB-C, Displayport and HDMI. . USB-C and DisplayPort cables are included. In addition to the display inputs, there are also two USB-A ports, as well as a USB-B port and a headphone jack (3.5mm). The monitor is powered by a massive 24V/5A power supply, which is far from ideal. But for such a low price, you have to make some concessions, and the power adapter is one of them. In terms of aesthetics, I'm really very impressed with this monitor. It has a semi-frameless design. Notably, the physical bezel doesn't exceed 1mm, but the display starts around 5mm from the bezel. He still looks stylish. The body of the monitor is made of black ABS plastic, while the monitor mount is made of black metal (🤘). The overall build quality is easily comparable or even better than what you would expect from a reputable manufacturer (at this price point). The monitor does not creak or bend. But what struck me the most was the lack of a backlight and the overall brightness of the monitor. While I don't know how many nits of brightness this monitor is rated for, it seems brighter than all but one of my monitors. So it's under 400 nits and over 250 nits. Not very specific, but that's what I got. However, the lack of a backlight is something very special. Colors are bright, accurate and vibrant. Unlike many other budget monitors, colors don't lean toward blue or red, there's true white, black, and everything in between. Likewise, the viewing angles on this monitor are really good, as you'd expect from an IPS panel. So overall pretty good for the price. It's only FHD, 1080p, but you'll be hard pressed to find a better one for less than $200. RECOMMENDED>
