My radar was attached to the windshield with the adhesive pad provided but living in Florida it didn't last long. The glue got hot all the time and the radar fell off the window. So I looked around and settled on this mount and BlendMount which are twice the price of these. I had some doubts about this as BlendMount was customized specifically for my make of radar and model of car. Both use the existing mount that comes with the radar itself, but this actually pans left and right. So I decided to do it and I'm glad I did. Very easy to install and when my mirror is rotated my radar still points straight ahead. You can turn it up, down, left or right at any time. No complicated design, requires no reading instructions and lots of explanations. It also comes with different length screws, which made me happy because I had to use the long ones for myself.
