I didn't like this hardness at first but recently I've tried again. I like it now. I have an 8 pound Yorkie. I ordered the medium and it fits great. I had to adapt and play with his tension but he holds it very well. When a little Yorkie is walking around, I constantly pull them away from other dogs, the street, and especially squirrels. This pendant has lasted for over a year now. To me it didn't tear, get lost, and didn't look like it would fall apart at all. In general very satisfied! The neck is a bit too big but I adjusted the body part so that the straps fit snugly and fit snugly around her stomach.
