Like others here, mine buckled during use. To be fair I use springs for a solid roller cam. This tool will probably be great for hydraulic applications. You should specify the maximum spring tension with which they can be used. If they do, I haven't seen it and that's why mine failed. I was able to get the dimensions I needed before it was folded, so it did exactly what I needed in that regard. In the comments, this review is not intended to be used with your actual valve springs. You must use low tension control springs. Oddly enough, I knew this and initially gave the checker 3 stars because it was bent. In fact, I used it incorrectly, and still I was able to get the measurements I needed. I have now changed my rating to 5 stars because it did what I needed despite using it incorrectly.
