Review on Simpson Strong QDDECKCLIP RC 250G2 Guide by Trey Harvey

Waste of money. As a professional deck builder, this product is not Simpson's best. We all know the nominal dimensions of lumber compared to the actual differences in this area. The one I ordered was 1 1/2" when it wasn't on the drill. Which in itself is useless on the 1 9/16" boards we're seeing, but if you then attach it and just tightening it down shrinks it to 1 7/16".", which is useless on all but 25% boards, which then leads to uninstalling, installing, removing and finally tossing it back in the toolbox, um to collect dust. Forget it.
