Review on Tevokon Waterproof Thermometer Foldable Grilling by Linda Salinas

I needed a good quick cooking thermometer. I cook and smoke a lot of meat and still use an old analog meat thermometer. seconds to heat up. This Tevokon meat thermometer works GREAT! It reads quickly and accurately, just like my old analog dial thermometer. There is actually no ON/OFF button. Just flip the stainless steel temperature sensor and as soon as it rotates about 90 degrees, it turns on! After a few seconds, it's ready to read. Indeed - this thermometer is immediately dynamic readable. So when you turn it on, it measures the ambient temperature. Press the "M" button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Insert the end of the probe into the meat and get a reading! Once you have a reading, you can press the "H" key to hold that temperature after you've removed the sensor, so you don't have to bend down to see the thermometer - get it read, press H and remove it to see temperature. The screen will light up but only stay on for 5 seconds and then turn off automatically. If you press the H or M keys, it will turn on again. Just hold a steel probe to the body and it will turn off. The probe's sharp tip has a small "pocket" in the body that it snaps neatly into so it doesn't accidentally puncture something (like you!) when not in use. Although it's listed as waterproof and there's a rubber grommet around the battery door, I haven't tested this. The instructions state that it cannot be submerged in water, so I would recommend a simple cleaning of the steel probe itself with hot water and/or alcohol. Full instructions in English are included. It also has a "Min/Max" mode and a "High Temperature Alert" mode that you can set up following the instructions. Overall, I can recommend this digital meat thermometer!
