This unit gets CRAZY hot. I thought mine might be defective until I read other reviews saying the same thing. After 15-20 minutes of charging a laptop via USB-C, it gets hot enough to burn you. It will literally burn your skin. As I touched him, I cried out and jerked my hand away, shocked that he was so hot. It seems like it could easily damage your 12V socket in your car or the device you charge. I do not recommend this product! Although it charged my laptop I would NOT use it again for fear of damaging my machine or device. OR MY SKIN.
