It scraped off easily and completely so I gave it anyway.
Bought this knife for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loves it! Even after 3 months of use, the blade remains as sharp as ever. I have a set of Wustof knives and they don't cut as easily as this one. The only complaint I have is that there was a gold logo on the side of the blade which started to wear off within a week. very sticky for something of this quality. It scratches easily and completely, so I still give it a full 5 stars. All in all, a great gift for anyone who loves to cook. Great tool for cutting meat and vegetables.
