This is a projector, the further away from the projected area, the more. Other than that, I have a tree that is 6.5 feet tall and a ceiling that is 8.5 feet tall. A 2 foot projection gives you a 24 inch image. This product is more suitable for shorter wooden ceilings or curved ceilings to get the best projector effects. Otherwise the product is really good.
