Review on Hankook Ventus V12 evo 2 Summer Radial Tire Review: 255/40R19 93Y by Adam Chyliski ᠌

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

A new model, went on sale in 2022, which replaced the K110. According to the information from the official website of the manufacturer, it is produced only in sizes from 17 to 19 radius, there are also 16, but only in the dimension 205/50. All with indexes from W to Y. So, those who have a smaller dimension in this model may have been sold the old K110 model, there is a completely different pattern and characteristics. Rubber is quite a decent one, with characteristics no worse than eminent expensive competitors. She reminded me a lot of the behavior of Michelin Primacy H. P. It remains to be seen how Hankook is in terms of wear resistance, compared to the Michelin, which was the benchmark in this regard, and continued to run when everyone else was already asking for the trash, due to the lack of tread residue. I ride 235/50 R18 101Y myself. I would like to note the tenacity of rubber, both on dry and wet surfaces. On a car with a power of more than 200 hp on the front-wheel drive with vigorous acceleration from a standstill, it is practically impossible to break into a slip (on everything that was previously slipped often occurred). The rubber is very quiet and comfortable, these qualities are felt to be enhanced when the ambient temperature is above +15. At speeds above 180 km / h, the car feels very confident. A couple of times I flew into fairly deep holes filled with water on the track in the rain. The blows were such that the heart went to the heels. Tires and wheels are intact after that. Very pleased with this carving. However, there was a downside. And that's durability. Rubber wears out faster than expected. Its resource at my rhythm of operation in terms of wear is about two times worse than Michelin Primacy 3. At the same time, it does not lose its properties to the last.

Pros
  • Quiet, comfortable, clear steering zero, balanced perfectly, not very critical to the track, keeps the road great in the rain.
Cons
  • Too heavy (but this is a retribution for strength (reinforced sidewalls)
