These are by far the best toilet pens you can get. I tried a different style, similar to kitchen tongs (yes, really) and they were useless because I have arthritis. I don't actually use a plunger because they break, but I just remove the paper very carefully after using it. It's made simple and neat with no mess. It only takes about 5 folded squares of paper, just tuck the top of each end into the groove on the back. You have to make sure that the paper reaches the tip of the stick. This makes it easier to carefully remove the used paper from below where the paper is slightly raised. These poles are a godsend for those with limited mobility due to weight, age or arthritis.
