I bought this Meshforce system to upgrade my Google Wi-Fi due to poor coverage in my "colossal" two-wall bedroom. Configuration was very easy - connected to the firewall, opened the Meshforce app and set up the system, which took no more than 5 minutes (the device got an IP address in 20 seconds, I got my network details and the required port forwarding set up with ease, and then connected multiple devices to access point). The coverage immediately showed itself to be stronger than my Google Wifi hotspots. 54dBm, and no, not a 2.4GHz signal, which statistically would work better through walls - that didn't happen) in the bedroom versus Google Wifi hotspots (which on a 5GHz network don't exceed more than -64 dBm could pump out). Location). Browsing further, I noticed that as soon as I left the room where the main hotspot was, the Google Wifi hotspots moved my phone to the 2.4GHz band, while the Meshforce never did and the 5 -GHz signal maintained all the time. Xbox confirmed the results of the performance improvements - at almost the same latency (58ms for Meshforce vs. 56ms for Google Wifi), I saw a 10% speed increase (nearly 2.5 Mbps on my internet) compared to Google Wifi hotspots . Physically, Meshforce devices are slightly larger than Google Wifi points, but given the increased coverage as well as the much more versatile additional LAN port (Google Wifi points only have 1 LAN port), this difference in physical characteristics was absolute. is not a factor and has saved me from buying a new switch for my home configuration. Cy-focused. The only "problem", if you can even call it that, is the app, which occasionally incorrectly displays small pieces of untranslated text. This was rare and only occurred 3 times in the app outside of business hours and was purely a cosmetic bug - all actual app mechanics used to apply settings or tweak configurations on Meshforce devices showed no issues updating and saving of configuration changes. (an issue I've encountered many times with the Google Home app for Google Wifi hotspots). I have used several other mesh WiFi systems in the past such as Netgear Orbi, Linksys Velop, Ubiquiti UniFi as well as my own mesh WiFi configurations with ActionTec devices. They were all poor quality solutions, especially the Orbi devices (which I've had success with, but only in certain households, i.e. they weren't universal devices). I started recommending everyone I knew to use Google Wifi Points as it was the most reliable solution I found. That said, so far I have already told two close friends that they should buy these M7 packs if they can afford it as this device has shown quality work. 5 out of 5 stars! Highly recommended, especially at the list price of 01/29/2021. The Meshforce M7 3 Pack is STILL cheaper than the standard Google Wifi 3 Pack - extra coverage + savings - you can't go wrong!
