I remember Klein's name from my days with the phone company. Some of these hand tools were confiscated from me but are still like new after 35 years. This crimping machine does not meet the same criteria as Western Electric for distribution to the Bell System. Crimping multiple connector types was also unsuccessful. With 18 AWG wire, a full crimp will not hold the wire securely. When the shrink connector was tested, the shrink adhesion falsely held the wire in place and there was obvious damage to the shrink material that could not withstand being crushed by the crimping tool. I'm not sure I would recommend this tool for anything other than bare terminals and possibly larger wires.
