I used these original filters on my '96 Ford 7.3 Diesel and they seem to do the job. The 2 liter size surprised me on my first oil change when I broke the seal after the oil spilled from the filter. The filter then slipped out of my hand while removing it and spilled onto my shop. After that I started punching a hole in the bottom of the filter with a screwdriver to drain the oil before removing the filter. The last batch of filters came in a bag, not a box. The filter packaging was rounded, there were a scratch or two on the filters. The box was the best shipping method.
