I was pleasantly surprised when I bought this remote and it worked right away. There was no programming, absolutely nothing. All you have to do is insert batteries and you're good to go. I had this remote instead of the one on my Samsung UN60KS8000 that came with the TV, the back button wouldn't press so I bought this and the problem was solved. I think the buttons on this design are better. The only downside to the remote is that the battery compartment is difficult to open and it doesn't have the microphone that the original has. I never used the mic on the other, so I didn't care. All in all a great replacement and highly recommended.
