Bought these for my 8.5 year old to wear with shorts. He doesn't wear pants in summer or fall or winter or spring... so basically he never wears pants. He weighs 60 kilos and is slim for his age. I bought one size smaller. They are listed as 7/8 for 8-9 year olds. Which doesn't make sense, but okay. The belt isn't tight on him, it doesn't even wrap around his waist. A gap of one or two fingers. It's okay as his shorts are really tight around his waist keeping the tights in place. It has room to grow taller and longer. The legs are looser than I expected. I bought a second pair, x-small for my little six year old but they drown him. However, in these medical charts, its growth is only 12%. The X-Small fits my 8.5 year old but doesn't have the length to grow so it's still coming back. I'm not sure how they will hold up over the long term. I am skeptical as it has only been 6 days and my knees are bunched up like material as it wears down. Lets see what happens. Overall they feel good and $20 for 3 pairs is a really good deal. Almost too good...
