Bought just in case. Well, just in case, I came last week. My Jeep Patriot's tires (all 4) lost traction in the loose sand when driving uphill off-road. 4WD was already on and didn't help at all. Don't worry, I just release the traction lock and spin the wheels until it starts moving. nope Okay, I'll attach a hook and straps to a handy tree and pull it out. There are no suitable trees nearby. I know I'm gonna pull out Hopkins traction mats! Went like clockwork. The jeep started and I drove off. They broke right into the sand and offered ample tire grip. Make sure you put them under the wheels and drive slowly. When you shoot, they just slide away. I suspect people who can't get it to work are trying to accelerate too quickly. That does not work. Beautiful and easy to do.
