Set of taps and inserts for cutting tools

I have used taps and they cut really well. First, I recommend getting a chart of taps and drill bits so you know what size drill bit you need to get the right tap. I'm in the service industry so taps and dies are a must. At the same time, I know how much a good set can cost. I needed one for my personal garage use and decided to give this set a try. I am very surprised by the quality of the taps and dies. These are not cheap carbon steel taps and dies. According to the description they are made of bearing steel. This is my first bearing steel kit so I didn't know what to expect. Not sure if they compare to HSS taps but they are really good and cut very well. My only criticism of these taps is that they only come in the sizes listed on the taps and dies. If you know anything about taps then you know that they are usually marked H1 through H6 if they are SAE. Metric taps are marked D1 through D6. This will let you know what percentage of the thread will be cut by the tap. Since they aren't marked, I think they're probably H3 taps. I suspect they cut about 75-80% of the thread, which is good. I like that anyway, but wish they were tagged. This set also comes with SAE and MM thread pitch gauges. This is great because I've found many kits come with them already. They will really come in handy. This set also includes faucets and extractor hoods. Extractor for screws and bolts. The kit also includes a pair of HSS drill bits. It's rare to see a set with a tap and matrix in the kit. Especially for this price. There is a T-handle and two straight handles. I always have a problem with straight handles breaking. These seem decent. I would still recommend just getting a few good ones if you plan to do a lot of film shooting though. There are also two wrenches. They also appear to be of good quality. None of the wrenches have broken so far, which is saying something. The body of this tap and die set is made of metal. That is hard. Inside are two plastic shells stacked on top of each other. To be honest, I don't really care. If you drop all the taps and stamps, they will fall out everywhere. Overall this is a really good tap and die set and definitely worth the asking price. If you're looking for a great set, I highly recommend this set. I hope you found this review helpful, and if you did, it would be great if you could click the helpful icon below. Many Thanks.
