As many have noted, these casters can be folded under the bench leg if you encounter an obstacle. I have to lift my bench down a shallow step into the garage and when I lift them off the floor they fold up every time. It is very difficult to return them to their original position while holding a heavy bench. I solved the problem by adding some L shaped brackets I made from 3" angle brackets from the hardware store. I cut off one leg of the bracket a bit to fit under the wheel deck and drilled a hole to line it up with the top hole in the roller mount. The pictures show the angle brackets before and after and how I installed them on the roller. This works well to keep the wheel from falling. If you're at the hardware store, get it Get some 1/4" x 1.5" hex head screws - these are much easier to install than the Phillips head screws that come with casters Installation of L bracket for installation does not allow folding.
