Does what it's supposed to
I bought this to hold the yarn while crocheting when I move outside. I've used it with both a Hobbii ball of yarn and a spindle of yarn wrapped around a cardboard center. It works great with both. Anyway, it only works better with yarn. It spins VERY easily - with a cardboard spindle it often spins and starts winding the yarn the wrong way. I am very happy with it.
