I love it but it's in the corner of a wooden serving tray so I can't check how likely it is to tip over. (That's why asking for a review two days after receiving it doesn't always make sense.) It seems strong, so I'm not particularly worried. The quality is good, it is very easy to spin, so the yarn unwinds well.

I bought this to hold the yarn while crocheting when I move outside. I've used it with both a Hobbii ball of yarn and a spindle of yarn wrapped around a cardboard center. It works great with both. Anyway, it only works better with yarn. It spins VERY easily - with a cardboard spindle it often spins and starts winding the yarn the wrong way. I am very happy with it.

Wish I found this sooner! This is perhaps my favorite crochet tool. It replaces the yarn bowl and my Swift yarn. I just put a skein of yarn on the end and feed it to the bobbin winder. When I crochet I put on my ball of yarn and it runs smooth and keeps my yarn clean. I had to make a small change. Oh my gosh, I love my little yarn holder! Knitting from skeins of yarn has become much easier! I don't have to worry about my yarn slipping and chasing skeins across the floor or having to stop to unwind a skein every few minutes.
