There are 3 monoculars covered in this review: Linawei Compact Monocular Telescope β 8x21 USD $14.99 JSM Jasmoder 8x21 Monocular Lightweight Telescope USD 14.99 (10x21 printed on device ) Eyeskey High-End Pocket Monocular 10X25 $49.99 I already own a monocular that was advertised for hiking, but for my 10k hikes they were too bulky and heavy. This time I ordered 3 different monoculars at once to compare and choose the best one for my needs. I was very disappointed when I received them and found that the Linawei and JSM monoculars are the same product: same packaging, same look. etc. The only difference was the Amazon barcode sticker stuck on the boxes and the brand name printed on the device. I wouldn't have bought them both if I knew they were identical. The main features I was looking for were size and weight. All three of these monoculars are much smaller and lighter than the ones I've had so they all pass this test. The JSM and Linawei are smaller and lighter than the Eyeskey (2-2.05 ounces and 3.5 inches long versus 6.2 ounces and 4.5 inches long). However, the Eyeskey is a much higher quality monocular. I had a hard time concentrating on everyone. Eyeskey seems to have the most sensitive focus. Eyeskey has lens caps on both ends. The eyepiece cap is not attached but has a loop that can be used to thread a cord to connect to the strap loop. The end cap is attached and needs to be held down during use, which is a bit annoying. The inexpensive models of Linawei and JSM monoculars have a simple carrying case with a belt loop on the back through which the belt must be passed. The Eyeskey monocular has a nicer pouch with a belt loop that can either be slipped through with the strap, or you can undo the Velcro to quickly attach and remove the pouch to the strap without threading it through. I think Linawei and JSM are great budget monoculars for kids. I personally prefer Eyeskey, mainly because of the quality. The difference in size and weight isn't big enough to bother me.
