As an aspiring watercolor painter, I first bought Princeton Neptune brushes after reading many reviews saying they were the best, followed by the Aqua Elite line. I ended up buying a set of the first Neptune tips. I didn't like them so I bought a set of these Princeton Aqua Elite brushes. After some experience with both, I found Neptune's faux squirrel too soft and flexible for my style. I prefer these Princeton Aqua Elite brushes. They are artificial Kolinsky sable and have a better point, better click, meaning they are much more resilient than Neptune brushes, which suits me very well. I'll try actual Kolinsky Sable brushes at some point, but don't see the point of spending the extra $ just yet as the Aqua Elite are great. I've been using them every day for a while and they still look brand new.
