Review on 🔧 Highly Compatible Passenger Side Exhaust Manifold (Dorman 674-983) for Chrysler, Dodge, and Volkswagen Vehicles by Lawrence George

When I first received my exhaust manifold I was impressed by its weight and packaging. After opening the box and inspecting the collector, I had high hopes. I then removed the heat shield and was shocked to see what looked like factory cracks. The photo shows that it is clearly visible. I turned off the light and used the flash to see if there were any light leaks from the cracks. There was no. I also did a water test. No water flowed from the cracks. This is a manufacturing defect and should be corrected. Installing the collector was not easy either. This is not an exact match. I had to screw in the screws and bend the heat shield. I got this working, but it would be nice if the manifold fitted perfectly. I recommend that you sand down the edges where the bolts attach to the motor. Makes work easier. I had to install a collector and dare the gap. I broke down a car and needed this one to walk. So far everything is fine and there have been no problems. Two weeks passed. And no problem. I will update at a later date.
