Review on 🖌️ Sakura XBR-48SA Koi Assorted Coloring Brush Pen Set: Vibrant 48-Piece Collection for Creative Artwork by Summer Hendricks

My wife bought coloring books for adults. What a strange thing, I thought; An adult performs the actions of a child. I teased her, but when her books arrived I watched her get lost for about an hour and was mesmerized. So I grabbed the book and quickly found that it was quite relaxing and meditative. She first bought Crayon colored pencils, but the color was matte and muted. They weren't that bright, vibrant color. We found these Sakura Koi watercolor pencils and watched a video of the artist using them on the Sakura website. The colors of these pens looked great, bright and vibrant. I was hesitant at first because of the cost but I knew my wife wanted it so we spent the money. When we got the pens in the mail (2 days later, thanks Prime!) we were dying to try them. There are many different shades of color in this set, multiple shades of purple, red, yellow, blue, brown and even gray and black. The tips of the handles are very soft, pointed, nylon. This is not a felt tip pen or gel roller; You don't "paint" like you would with pens or pencils, repeating back and forth movements. The soft tip encourages more brushstrokes with longer, smoother, curved strokes. With practice, traversing the curved area becomes a single smooth movement of the tip right on the edge of the desired line. The ink flows very easily and evenly from the tip, but the darkest colors flow a little more than the medium and light ones. It takes a little time to learn how to use them, but once you do it will actually be a lot easier and MUCH less work to color/draw areas than with a pen or pencil. We really, really, REALLY dig these pins!
