Works great, easy to fit although the screws are on the wrong side of the handle

I needed to find a good handle with a simple lock to replace the old one in my bedroom. I didn't need anything fancy just something to easily lock the door with when I needed privacy and it would look nice and fit in the existing door opening from the previous handle. Well, that fits the bill perfectly. The brass looks clean and adheres well to it. Good quality for the price paid. It fitted perfectly into the existing hole and I didn't even have to change the internal parts that were already in the door as it fitted perfectly into the existing one. You don't have to worry about parts or plates of different sizes that need to be constantly adjusted. I just unscrewed the old one and popped this in place, tightened the screws and the grip worked great. It must have taken me about 5 minutes to complete the process. The handle rotates either way on either side of the door and the lock works as intended. You can't open the door from either side when the lock is in place, and you can't lock it from the other side, so you can't make the mistake of accidentally locking the door. It comes with an emergency key that you can use in the hole if you accidentally lock the door after closing it from the other end. Only downside for me is that the screws are on the other side of the door (the side without the lock). That means if someone really wants to get into the room, all they have to do is unscrew the handle on the other end to take it off. I'm not sure why they put screws on the other side of the handle. Most handles I've seen have screws on the same side of the lock for this purpose. This will be the only downside. It may also be my fault, I don't understand that you also have to choose a handle that has the screws on the same side of the lock, but why they offer it differently I don't understand. Destroys the point of a lockable knob if someone can just unscrew it if they really want to get in bad enough. But definitely a good pen and I'm happy with it. It fits perfectly and works just as well. Before buying, remember that the screws are on the other side of the door, as this can be a problem for those who want complete security with it. Unless you're really worried about someone unscrewing the handle on the other side of the door (I'm not, so I'll keep it to myself) then no need to worry. It's perfect for a simple twist lock handle for a bathroom or bedroom door.

Pros
  • For use on interior doors where a locking function is required e.g. B. in a bedroom or bathroom
Cons
  • Security
